7 years! That’s how long the old battery pack in the trailer lasted. It became weaker over the last year, and last summer we had to charge it every day which was a little annoying on the run.
I must say I wasn’t impressed by that lifetime – but also I must admit that I wasn’t especially focused on having them fully charged during the winters.
So a renewal was inevitable, and we have upgraded the power bank to a massive 2 x ER550 Exide Dual 115 Ah leisure batteries. They fitted right in the locker with absolutely NO room left.
Very good chance the beers will stay cool in the fridge on next summers expedition to the overheated Balkans.
